- אוּסְקָנִיתא, סְקוּנִיתָאf. (נסק; cmp. מַסְקָנָא) ascending, landing. גמלא דא׳ landing board. Snh.67b וקם אג׳ דא׳ Ar. (ed. וקם ג׳ דוסקנ׳ read with Rashi דסקונ׳, Ms. M. איסקניתא, oth. var. v. Rabb. D. S. a. l.) and he found himself standing on a landing board (ed. and there stood before him ).
